Derby West Indian Centre & Derby Carnival (2023–2025)
A two-year collaboration with the Derby West Indian Centre, creating performances that celebrated Caribbean culture and heritage, including the 50th anniversary of Derby Carnival. -
Saint Benedict School – Secondary Dance Schools Platform (2023–2025)
Worked with students over two academic years to create and present choreography for the regional Secondary Dance Schools Platform, supporting young dancers to grow in confidence, creativity, and performance skills. -
Black History Month with Sense, Birmingham (2024)
Commissioned performance for Black History Month, celebrating Black identity and heritage in partnership with Sense in Birmingham.
Sense Touchbase pears in Birmingham Commissioned Performance (2024)
In October 2024, for Black History Month, Vehdance & Movement created a commissioned performance for Sense, exploring themes of agriculture and farming through movement. The piece was danced by Dearda Denny, with live, original music composed by Marcus Francisco.
The performance was developed through two sensory, touch-based paired workshops in Bradford and Birmingham, where participants engaged with props to spark imagination, connection, and creativity.
